Refocusing your divorce process – Part I

If you are currently navigating a divorce, you likely understand that the legal, emotional and physical processes of dissolving a marriage can be stressful, draining and seemingly endless. As a result, it is important to check in with yourself throughout your divorce process in order to better ensure that your actions are focused upon achieving a healthy future.

Divorce can be disorienting. For example, it may take months to get used to sleeping alone. Your physical, emotional and legal identities have long been tied to your spouse’s. One of the greatest tools you can use in guarding against having your negative emotions rule your divorce process is consistently checking in with yourself and refocusing your divorce generally. Please check back within a few days, as we will be continuing our discussion of this subject in our next blog post.
